Salma Anguiano, State President

Salma Anguiano is currently a junior at Hermiston High School, serving as your 2016-2017 Oregon FCCLA State President. Salma joined FCCLA her freshman year, hoping to become more involved within her school and community. During her sophomore year she served as her chapter’s Vice President of Membership. Salma has had experience evaluating STAR Event projects at both the state and national level. Salma has also competed in STAR Events at the state level earning a silver medal in Food Innovations and qualifying for Nationals.

During her free time Salma enjoys working the catering events put on by FCCLA and the Bulldog Catering classes at her school. She enjoys volunteering at her school events, community events, and FCCLA activities. Outside of FCCLA Salma is a member of National Honor Society, Choir, and Aspire Mentoring Program.

After High School Salma plans on attending Oregon State University, or Georgetown University and majoring in Political Science. Salma is extremely happy to have the chance to be a part of FCCLA. She hopes to make this an exciting and memorable year for all the members. She can’t even begin to express how excited she is to be serving as your FCCLA State President! She is very thankful for the chance to be one of your state officers!

Tucker VanWinkle, Vice President of Development

Tucker is the V.P. of Development. He attends Joseph Charter School. Tucker will be a Junior in the 2016-17 year. This will be Tucker's fourth year in FCCLA. The projects he has done are Focus of Children, Illustrated talk, and Job Interview. After college he hopes to become a software engineer at a large tech company.

Renee Seal, Vice President of Membership

Renee is the Vice President of Membership. Renee is from Joseph Charter School. Renee is a Freshman. Renee has been in FCCLA for 3 years. Renee has been involved in 2 STAR Events and 2 competitive events. Renee want to go to law school after High school

Annie Story, Vice President of Peer Education

Annie Story is a junior at Joseph Charter School, and is currently serving as the 2016-2017 Oregon FCCLA Vice President of Peer Education. Annie has been involved in FCCLA for four years and has completed three STAR Event Projects. She has received gold in all three STAR Events and earned the opportunity to compete at the National Leadership Conference the past three years. In addition to competing in STAR Events, Annie is active in chapter fundraisers, projects, and activities while having also been the chapter Historian for the past two years.

In addition to FCCLA, Annie is also actively involved in FFA, Natural Helpers, band, choir, sports, and the Wallowa County Humane Society. Over the course of her high school career, Annie has held various leadership roles in her clubs and extracurricular activities, in addition to being an active member in these organizations and teams.

After high school, Annie would like to take a year off and travel before attending college to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree in premedical studies. She then plans to attend medical school and earn her Doctorate in Medicine.

FCCLA has made a major impact on Annie throughout her involvement. She has learned numerous skills such as public speaking and leadership, which will help her tremendously in her future. She is extremely excited to be serving as a State Officer for the 2016-2017 year.
